Automatic car doors in the Chrysler Town & Country 2008. 99% of the time I will press the button and it will close half way and then open. There is nothing at all obstructing the closure, but it still says there is and opens again. Today however, my daughter who is 2.5 years old pressed the button and then put her hand in the van, I looked away for 2 seconds. Well the door that rarely ever closes when there is no obstruction closed on her hand. It's happened that it's closed on me before hit me in the hip etc and didn't want to stop closing. Thankfully I am strong enough to not get hurt. These doors are a safety hazzard and should not be allowed in automobiles that children are going to be in. No matter how diligently you watch your kids, you can't be everywhere at once. I hate to think what could have happened if her head was in the way instead of her hand. She could have died.

2008 Chrysler minivan purchased 09/08. Currently has 13370 miles. Front brakes and rotors replace at 8887 miles. Currently in service for brakes again. When I expressed my displeasure to the service rep., his response was "we see this everyday". Chrysler find this acceptable? there needs to be a recall on these sub-standard breaks that were/are being installed.

I had my Town and country for just over 20,000 miles and I need to replace the rear brakes pads on my vacation. Lucky I am a mechanic and could do it myself. I called the dealer down in Florida and asked if there was any problems with that model they said no. I asked for price on pads and if they had them. I called the parts store and they had the front but not he backs that would be a day. The dealer told me 4 to 5 days for the back and fronts. I asked the price and they where less then 1/2 the price. I ordered and did the brake job. I had to call a dealer to find out how to compress the calibers they did not know. I remember that Volkswagen had calibers like this and is turned in. I did the brakes and needed to do them 3 months later and rotors this time. I feel there is a factory problem here.

2008 Chrysler Town & Country touring van, bought in January of 2008. Since I bought the van the radio had to be replaced twice, the dvd player and monitors had to be replace, and the back shock or strut leaked all the fluid out on my garage floor. The sliding doors both operate when they want, they will start to close and then just reopen, if you try to close they don't want to, the back hatch has done the same thing. The driver's window had to be fix twice because it wouldn't open or close and they told me it was the sound barrier that had fallen off of the door and it need to be reattached. The drivers seat has a broken track on it and all of this has been happening since 190 miles and on, now have 10089 miles on the van and still having problems with the sliding doors.
