Town & Country 6-cyl

  • 16,497 miles
Had Chrysler 2008 Town & Country from 4/24/08 to 7/25/10.had 3 repairs done, and in aug2010 signed for ownership. Had recall on front brakes, took to dealer, who checked front and back brakes. Told dealer there was a "howling" in rear and right rear tire was very hot. Dealer said front brakes appeared ok, but mfg. Did not lubricate rear brakes as they were dry and completely shot. Had to replace rear brakes, rotors and calipers pads for $324. Car had only 16,497 miles and was 2 1/2 years old. Called Chrysler and they said would issue one time refund. Called later and they said would not replace as this was "normal wear and tear". checked on line there were 111 complaints for same car...then they are replaced many times! I would not buy another Chrysler although I had a 2004 for a few years with no problem.

Town & Country

I purchased the vehicle in may of 2009. After 3 weeks I noticed noise that sounded like the brakes were bad. I had the vehicle checked on 6/2009, 8/2009, and 12/2009 was told they were fine. And that it was the type of material that is used. 1/27/2010 was told I need new brakes and rotors at 25432 miles. Called dealer/Chrysler to find out about warrenty and was told that is not covered. I thought it had a bumper tp bumper warrenty till 36,000 miles. Dealer lied to me. It is going to cost $650 to fix it. I have done research and found out this is a common problem with the Chrysler products. I also can not get the tire-pressure monitoring system to turn off. I was told the tires are fine.

My 2008 Chrysler Town & Country needs new brakes and the front and rear rotors resurfaced after only 12,000 miles. It does not seem reasonable that the brakes would wear down so quickly.
