My 15 year old son was driving with his temps...all of the sudden when exiting a major interstate, the gas pedal got stuck and the vehicle kept accelerating through this intersection of stopped vehicles! The light turned green and my son somehow maneuvered around multiple cars while hitting speeds of 65-70 mph! He then managed to get back on the "on" ramp to get back on the interstate because it felt as though we were careening out of control! At that point, I climbed over and grabbed the steering wheel & told him to get in the back seat...I slammed the car in Neutral (which was not easy...it would not release at the first few attempts), then FINALLY after literally kicking the brakes w/ both legs, we were able to roll to a stop and the engine shut down. We could have hit so many cars, or rolled our van, or been killed. The irony of this whole thing is that this is the SECOND time this happened to me....once years ago...Chrysler Town and country (again) --different car altogether--but SAME issue! I will never buy a Chrysler again. Too scary. We got lucky.
