crack in fuel tank, car never in wreck, how did crack happen

Seriously! After so many recalls I am so over this mini-van that I was so happy to purchase. I feel this should not have happened to a car this young and boy it was costly. That is the amount of money I spend on Christmas and Birthday for my son. It really hits us hard. We were told I was lucky, LUCKY, it has not caught fire or exploded!!! I feel unsafe in the vehicle and just want to figure out how to get rid of it like yesterday!
