The check engine light was coming on and going off a lot during the month of Oct. I got it checked and replaced the EGR valve. The guy told me he could tell the EGR valve had been replaced before. When the Check engine light comes on, the steering will go out and I will start to lose power to the van. I will not be able to turn anything. I have also had it where when turning on the van, the van will start to make clicking noises and then finally turn on. I have changed the spark plunges, had the starter tested, battery tested, alternator tested and replaced the EGR. Now a month later the EGR valve light has came back on and the steering wheel has locked up on me twice in a week now in Dec.

egr valve check engine light

Causes check engine light to come on, as it will go off and on at first but then stick and stay on.
