The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and country. While driving approximately 30 mph, the accelerator pedal extended to the floorboard without warning and the rpms increased. The contact depressed the brake pedal with both feet and the accelerator pedal returned to its normal position. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was carbon built up in the throttle body that needed to be cleaned out. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 76,000. Updated 09/21/15

The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and country. While driving approximately 55 mph, the accelerator pedal became stuck. The contact engaged her foot under the accelerator pedal in order to release. The failure recurred. However, there was an unintended increase in acceleration and an abnormal increase in engine rpms. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer and they were unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem who recommended the vehicle be taken to another dealer for inspection. The second dealer was also was unable to duplicate the failure.
