Van will just shut off while driving. No warning, no lights. Have had the recall fixed twice but problem still hasn't stopped. Doesn't it doesn't matter if the van is cold or warm or what speed. It has done it on the freeway at 70mph. Dealer can not get it to duplicate the problem had if for 3 weeks in the shop. I can not keep driving this vehicle if no one can find what is wrong. Chrysler built the car why can't they find out what's wrong.

Vehicle stalls between 20-40 mph on city streets and the traction icon comes on. Power steering immediately goes out and the vehicle must be pulled over and restarted. Problem was very intermittent when it first appeared 3/31/18 but now happens on almost every trip, typically near the beginning of the trip (11/21/18). Mechanic has failed to replicate, diagnose, or fix the problem.

4.0 L V6 engine 1) while turning right from a stop onto highway, the power steering failed. - I drove into the passing lane, luckily no one was in that lane at the time. So the car was speeding up 10/30/18 traction control light briefly on 2) car in motion, decelling from 35 mph, turning left across on coming traffic, the power steering & the power breaks went out. Hard to turn & hard to break, barely stopped in time. Had to turn off & back on again 11/17/18 traction control light briefly on 3) for the past 6 months, there have been occasions where my car would not start until like the 7 or 10th turn over of the fob. Car not in motion

On multiple occasions, so far happened 3 times during the first 5 mins driving on a curved road, twice happened at the same location 1 week apart. First lost the power steering, then the esp/traction control lights on, power brake lost next. Manage to stop the car, turn on the hazard lights and restart the 2010 T&C. then every thing back to normal again. Sent to sands Chrysler dealer over quakertown pa 18951, no code read out, suggest to start with 90K maintenance. Noticed so many similiar case reported through the web pages, hope Chrysler treat this seriously. The dealer did not perform the L25 recall on the ignition switch, looks like my car is not qualify, I will double check again. Milage reading is 96069

While driving, the engine cut out and I lost power to steering and brakes. The traction control light then came on when I finally pulled over. After resetting, the vehicle started and drove normally. If this happened on a busy road, serious injury would have occurred to the passengers in my vehicle and anyone else I would have struck due to loss of control.

Approximately two months ago the 2010 T&C began being sluggish to start. We replaced the battery and it started fine. A week after it began to stall with the dash lights turning on and off. A day or two later it began to stall and turned off in traffic. The battery has been checked and it is functioning - the local mechanic performed a diagnostic test and no code was present. Currently it had stalled and turned off several times - extremely stressful and dangerous.

The car goes from the "run" position to the "accessory" position all by itself while driving on streets. When that happens you have no power steering or brakes and the engine turns off. Since you have no steering or brakes, you can't control the car or stop it. Very dangerous/ life threatening. There was a recall for this on 2010 Town & Country's, but they tell me that my car is 4 months outside of that recall. So they know it was an issue and still is.

My car completely locks up on me while driving down the middle of the road. Before the engine wasn't shutting off. Now it is. My wheel locks up and will not reset unless I turn the car off. I have brought the car to 2 different dealerships as well as another well trusted mechanic. No one can find the issue. All the codes are fine, there are no leaks, and the power steering fluid is good. I have 4 small children and this has already happened on 4 separate occasions with them in the car. Thank god we have not been in an accident due to this happening. This morning I sat at the dealership for 4 hours to tell me they can't find the problem. I leave the dealership and the car locks up on me again and shuts down in the middle of the road. Why can't any one help me or diagnose the problem"!" we paid big bucks for this Chrysler Town & Country! I expect answers and the issue to get fixed!

This has happened to me 3 times within the last few months. At random times. I was driving 25 miles or under when my steering wheel locked while driving. It happened twice in my neighborhood and once on a city street coming up to an intersection. I was unable to turn the wheel at all! my traction control light on my dash board came on as well. I came to a stop. Turned the car off and turned it back on and the steering wheel was no longer locked and dash light was no longer on. Went back to normal with no issues. Very concerning!

Vehicle started having issues in 2014. Vehicle just would not crank one morning. Got a jump start and took it to autozone and got a new battery. About 3 months later the same thing happened. Got a jump start, went to autozone and they found nothing wrong with battery, alternator or starter. Autozone gave me a new battery anyway. About 4 months later, happened again. Brought vehicle to Chrysler for win module recall fix and explained what was happening. They said handling the recall and a new battery should fix the problem. About 2 months later, had the same problem. Chrysler replace win module again and I got Chrysler to replace battery at this time as I explained that the battery was being affected due to the part that was being recalled. All was fine for about a year or so and then started happening again. Brought it back to Chrysler and they said battery had a dead cell. I explained that they had just put the battery in about a year ago and it should be under warranty. They told me, "we don't do warranty replacements on warranty replacements". so, I am just dealing with the battery right now. Most recently, about 3 months ago, dash board warning lights started all coming in at the same time. Then they would all go off and one side of the dash illumination would go out. Next start up, illumination would be fine again. This happened several times over a couple of months. Then, one day while driving, the power steering went out, the traction light came on and the vehicle shut off! was able to put vehicle in neutral and restart. This happened a few times in a month, but was always ok after one restart. Now, it keeps happening and only lasts a few minutes before needing to be restarted again. Afraid that this is going to happen while turning across oncoming traffic or in a situation where we can not pull over to safety and will get rear-ended.

Vehicle stalls while driving constantly. It seems to be worse at slower speeds, but does happen at higher speeds. When the stall occurs, you often see the ABS light come on. The car loses power steering. You have to pull over and restart or sometimes can put it into neutral and restart while driving. There are other times car seems to surge forward for no reason. It's often difficult to start.

We've had a sporadic, reoccurring problem where the engine shuts down while driving down the road. The van will lose acceleration, the power steering fails, (at least one time the power brakes failed as well) and the traction control light illuminates. As these happen, you realize that they were caused because the engine has just performed an uncommanded (by the driver) shutdown. Unfortunately, none of these symptoms are necessarily immediately obvious. For instance, when traveling straight (not using power steering), at low speeds (not accelerating), the first indication of failure is that the traction control light has illuminated. The far more concerning issue is when you realize that the engine (and systems) has failed while attempting to turn through an intersection. After the engine fails it will restart immediately. The issue is controlling the vehicle -after losing power steering, the ability to accelerate, traction control, and brakes - through the failure, in traffic, often on contaminated roads (rain, snow, or ice are common fall through early spring where we live) to be able to safely restart the engine. This problem began two years ago. It happened a few times in the winter over a couple week span and then went away. The next fall (8-9) months later it began doing it again. The occurrences this time were more frequent. We were told by the dealership that they were unable to duplicate our failures due to the intermittent nature of the problem. After a several weeks, the failures stopped. Now at the end of summer, it's been probably 9-10 months since the last occurrence, it has started again. Several occurrences in the last week. From what we can remember, the failures occur with the first several minutes of the trip (sometimes more than one within a few minutes) and usually at lower speeds. We can't remember an event above 40 mph.

The engine of my 2010 Chrysler Town and country shut off while traveling on the highway at a speed of approximately 60mph. It has happened two other times at lower speeds while in town. The issue left me and my family in danger of a highway collision. This problem appears to be with the ignition switch spontaneously dropping into accessory mode which matches a recall for the same issue in other Town and country's very close to the date of manufacture of mine. That recall was 14V373. My van was manufactured four months after the recall window relating to the ignition switch issue which subsequently disables the airbags and other safety equipment. The specific part that was the issue in 14V373 and what I believe to be the issue here is the win module.

The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and country. While driving approximately 25 mph, the steering and brakes failed. The vehicle restarted after one attempt. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (ken nelson located on 1100 N galena ave, dixon, il 61021), but the failure could not be duplicated. The dealer confirmed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V373000 (electrical system, air bags). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but did not offer any assistance. The failure mileage and VIN were unknown.
