problem #2

Town & Country Limited 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,300 miles

We have tried changing batteries in the FOBs with little help. We have a push button start. We were attempting to leave somewhere to head home and the system could not recognize the FOB. I had to pry the button off to use as a key. This happens somewhat regularly where the vehicle does not respond to the FOB...either one.

I had the van in so many times for this problem. Sometimes the keyfobs would not open the vehicle, or the back gate, or lock it. Sometimes the van would start DING DING DING KEY HAS LEFT THE VEHICLE when it was sitting right there. First they replaced the batteries....less than a year old...also said KEY NOT DETECTED. Then the next time..they replaced the key fob , and finally they replaced whatever computer module was inside the steering column. Sad to say less than a year after the last "fix" it is doing it again. I HATE this vehicle.
