Purchased my T&C in 2/2012 with 6 miles on it. Within the last month I have noticed a slight vibration when braking while on the highway which became somewhat worse. I began noticing it at slower speeds. I brought the car in about 2 weeks ago and the service rep said maybe a tire balance will work. (this visit is a different problem all together) Unfortunately the problem was not fixed.

I contacted a different dealer and brought it in today. As I thought, they said the rotors were warped and I needed to get new rotors and pads. My vehicle on only has 15200 miles and is 17 months old. I reminded him it was still under warranty but he said the bumper to bumper for brakes "pads" were only 12 months. Since I have an extended warranty it would cost 100 bucks. He also explained that they had a recall on this problem with earlier T&C's but the 2011 was not included and he was doing me a favor by giving it to me for 100 bucks. The work needed to be done so I agreed.

I called Chrysler corp without any help. They agreed that it was not a covered repair, even though they have had numerous problems with earlier years. I expressed my disappointment and went on with my day - 100 bucks less.

This has been an ongoing problem and from what I have read, this is (although hopefully not) just the start. I have only 15200 miles on it. I have been driving for over 45 years and have never had rotors gone bad like this.

Since november of 2012 I have replaced the front and rear brakes and rotors 4 times, the last set didnt even last 3000 miles, called chrysler and only thing they can tell me is to take it to the dealer, I have just over 40000 miles now and the vehicle is starting to cost more for repairs than it should, and the factory tires lasted only about 30000 miles, I cannot believe that chrysler has not issued a recall to fix the brake problem yet, very unsatified customer, I should not have to be replacing brakes every 2 months on any vehicle, dont think ill ever buy another chrysler vehicle again, obviously there is a real problem with premature brake failure so what is chrysler waiting for to do something about it? A 35000 vehicle is a lot of money, and then to see that I will be spending 1200 dollars a year on brakes makes me regret getting the van, I have never replaced barkes so often, even when I had my iroc camaro, and drove that car like a mad man, slamming on the gas and slamming on the brakes, in 4 years of owning that car I replace the brakes 1 time and thats with putting about 50000 miles on it driving all over my state and into others. When I purchased my van I bought 2 others exactly like it, spent 100, 000 dollars at the same dealership in one day, now to have these problems makes me wish I would have went with a different manufacturer!!! Very frustrated, shame on you chrysler, you have lost a valuable customer, who enjoys buying multiple vehicles and a time....
