I experienced fuel issues, and the mechanic suggested replacing the fuel pump at 800.00 dollars and this was a friend of mine doing it. I passed. Contacted the dealership and asked about a recall on fuel pump. They practically laughed me out of the place. "We would have tons of reports and we have none" (Pine City Motors of Pine City, Minn)

It ran fine until battery kept draining and car would not turn over. I had the new battery checked and it was too. I took it dealership and diagnosed it as fuse box draining the battery. So far I am into this for $987.00 plus diagnostic charges. And I haven't gotten to labor yet. SEEMS THAT CHRYSLER DOESN'T SHARE INFORMATION TOO WELL WITH ITS DEALERS - OR MAYBE IT DOES. I'M ON A FIXED INCOME WITH SOCIAL SECURITY AND MY FEW INVESTMENTS. THIS IS WHAT WE FOUGHT FOR. THEY WANT ANOTHER BAILOUT? NO WAY IN HELL...

It would not start, even with jumpstarting. I replaced the battery and the problem seemed to go away. Later problems followed, including hard starting. The actual problem was likely a faulty TIPM that has since been replaced... Twice! Additionally we have replaced the spark plugs and other ignition related equipment trying to get this vehicle to be more reliable. These TIPM's are a BIG problem in that they cause lots of other problems, e.g., batteries, starters, fuel pumps, ignition coils, window actuator motors, etc.

The previous failure to start was caused by faulty TIPM which was replaced. On picking up the van from the mechanic after the TIPM was replaced (for $1500), new electrical issues were apparent, including airbag indicator light now being on, one 12v outlet no longer worked, and the radio system acting/sounding weird. I returned the vehicle to mechanic and they checked the newly installed, dealer supplied TIPM and found it to be faulty... Now it is on backorder and we will have to wait at least 3 weeks for another replacement. Fingers crossed that the battery doesn't drain and it keeps starting until replacement replacement TIPM comes in.

Town & Country Touring 3.6L V6 Sfi Dohc 24v

My battery was dead. We recharged the battery and drove to have it tested as it was still under warranty but the battery tested fine. 2 hours later, it was dead again. We recharged it again and when we got home we could hear that something was still running. We disconnected the battery and fully charged it on a charger overnight and drove it to our mechanic. He immediately said that it was the fuel pump running. We verified this by pulling the fuse to the fuel pump. The problem is a faulty TIPM - totally integrated power module.
