I get a smell like overheating or wires shorting out that comes from the back of the van, on occasion, and not sure what the source. Local dealer service department also had not heard of problems like mine and I have an appointment to have it investigated. The smell has only occurred when the rear climate control fan control is turned on to any fan speed level. It becomes more noticeable when the rear fan control setting on the front panel (main control panel) has the rear fan showing "off" and the fan speed knob on the ceiling above the middle row seats is turned on to any fan speed. I don't see anything in the owners manual that says the two settings cannot be dissimilar. If I start smelling the overheating wires I usually find the rear fan control knob in the ceiling is set to anything but "off." When I turn the know to the "off" setting, the smell dissipates. Has anyone else run into this issue if you have the rear climate control option?
