While driving on pa turnpike, during moderate traffic. The cars engine and electrical power shutoff for at least 5 seconds. Dash lights also shutoff. The car engine and electrical turned back on and we continued driving. We also had other incidences when backing out of the driveway and the car would stall. It took our dealership over two months of diagnostics and several repairs to fix the problem. Dealership added an external fuel pump and also replaced something in the dashboard which involved the ignition. So far we haven't had any other issues but I hear of similar issues on other Chrysler vehicles and wonder if Town and country should be investigated for ignition problems.

Found out that there was a recall problem with the rear quarter window vent switch. The dealer disconnected it and said the parts was on backorder. We checked periodically when we did not get a call from the dealer and was told the part was not available yet. In January 2015 received a letter from Chrysler informing us of the recall. We again contacted our dealer a couple more times since then and have been told that the part still is not available. I called the 1-888-327-4236 vehicle safety hotline and was told to call 1-800-992-1997 and get a case manager number which I did and was put on hole for 110 minutes and know one has still answered my call........ Received an important safety recall notice from Chrysler about rear quarter vent window switch. Many months ago I allowed my service department that services my van to disconnect this switch, but Chrysler does not seem concerned about this problem. I bought this van for a large amount of money and would think they could get this switch and replace as their first notice said they would. While I am sending this complaint I have been on hold with Chrysler for over twenty minutes now.
