Received notification of rear window switch recall from manufacturer in the summer of 2014 (NHTSA campaign number: 14V234000). Immediately took vehicle in to local auto dealer to have switches disconnected, however replacement switches were not installed. According to the dealer, the switches have been on back order ever since. This represents an unacceptable delay in completing the repair associated with this recall. Have contacted dealer and manufacturer several times in the interim with no resolution.

While driving at night with the headlight switch in the auto position, the headlights suddenly turned off leaving the road immediately in front dark. Speed of travel at time of the incident was 60 mph. There were cars in front and in the rear. To avoid a potential accident, I quickly turned to headlight switch to the manual on position and the headlights came back on again. Prior to this incident, there were numerous occasions where the headlights would not turn on when the switch was in the auto position. On all of these occasions the switch had to be turned to the manual on position for the headlights to turn on. Maybe unrelated but when the headlights are on, regardless of whether the switch is in the auto or manual on position, the low beam indicator never appears in the dashboard, only the park lights are indicated.

After almost a month at the dealer, replacing the wireless ignition module twice and the battery... running all possible tests, today they believe the issue is related to the bad tipm... my van was not part of the recall for the tipm yet I have the same problem as everyone else. My van dies every 4 days and has been sitting at the dealer for almost a month, I was called 3 times to pick it up after being fixed and it was dead in their parking lot, and died an additional 4 more times in their possession. Like clock work, it dies every 4 days. Let's hope this time they really found it and if they did why was mine not part of this nation wide recall for this issue? car dies, won't start, no power every 4 days.
