Beginning in August 2018, while driving, my 2013 T+C will simply shut off. No warnings, no lights, no noises, nothing. The vehicle simply shuts off. This has happened 6 times over the past 4 months. When this happens, my speed has been anywhere between 5-35 mph. It happens closer to when I first start my car after sitting overnight or for 8+ hours. Also happens when I am slowing down. I was able to get the vehicle started each time it's happened, but this is extremely dangerous as I have no power in the car (no steering, very limited brakes, etc). This issue seems to be a regular occurrence with this vehicle. What is being done to correct this dangerous issue?

2013 Chrysler Town and country mini van VIN no. [xxx] 68,543 miles fuel injection returnless, sequential. Chrysler 3.6 engine fuel pressure codes that I have had and still having: P0153, P0153, P0175, P0300, P0302 the cylinder head problem in the Chrysler pentastar 3.6L engine affects the left bank containing cylinder number two. Symptoms first appear as a ticking sound coming from that cylinder, followed by misfire conditions, loss of power and possible stalling. The design flaw is reportedly fixed in models manufactured from 2012 but it is believed that 7,500 earlier vehicles may be susceptible to left cylinder head cracks. Chrysler has extended the five year/100,000 mile warranty to ten years or 150,000 miles on the left cylinder head of vehicles prone to the failure. Warranty bulletin D-14-12 of June 10, 2014, is available from dealers and contains details of which vehicles are covered. Left cylinder head has lots of noise... no noise on right cylinder head also stalling and misfire visited dealership on 8-24-2018 and said that my VIN no. Does not apply to my van for above extended warranty. Cost to repair will be more than $2000. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Kept taking it in probably for almost a year for a diagnostic check because it felt like it had a jerking feeling in the engine. Was told no codes were showing up. Then earlier this year, had to have 2 coils replaced on the engine. On June 1 I took it in because the engine light was on, now it needs camshaft and other stuff done!

While accelerating car shakes and does not accelerate properly. Engine light flashes and dings and then stays on. Mechanic says #2 cylinder head failure. Chrysler not including our particular vehicle in the extended warranty for the exact same problem (I.e. #2 cylinder head failure). This typically occurred when attempting to accelerate from a stop but would happen during highway driving as well

08/12/2017: I left my home & had only traveled a short distance & the entire vehicle stopped working. There was no power. The instrument panel was black & the engine was not running. I pulled to the side of the road as best I could with no power steering or brakes. I turned the key to off. I attempted to restart the vehicle. It took 3 tries to get it started. I did not drive it again until the next day. The problem did not occur again. It is now at the second dealership waiting for diagnosis. I also have an escalated case open with Chrysler customer service. 8/9/2017: I had to take my daughter to the doctor for an emergency appointment. I started the vehicle. Backed it down the driveway. Put it in park. The vehicle stopped working. The instrument panel went dark & the engine stopped. It took 8 tries to get it restarted. I did call & report the problem to the dealer. 8/3/2017: I took my vehicle into the dealer for the same problem. It was failing to start the day before. It took 3-4 tries. It also randomly shut itself off when I put it in park. Also once when I put it in drive. I reported this to the dealership upon dropping it off. They drove the vehicle 60 miles & could not replicate the problem. It never shut off while they drove it. They returned it to me but did note the error codes when they ran a diagnostic that the vehicle had had some type of failure. 7/11/2017: I had the vehicle at the dealership I purchased it used from a year prior. They diagnosed the failure to start & random power black-outs while driving as a screw being loose on the battery terminal. Charged me $200 to tighten a screw & sent me on my way. Spring 2017: Contacted orig. Dealership. The vehicle was doing something odd. The instrument panel had gone black, the wipers were running at full speed & could not be shut off, yet the vehicle was still running. 08/10/16: Engine light

When I press the start power button, the car will start and then cut off immediately. This happens repeatedly and then sometimes not at all. Sometimes, I turn off all of the electronics in my vehicle and then try to start it to see if this helps. Seems to have no rhyme or reason why it just won't start. I have searched the internet and found many other people reporting this same problem with their vehicles from Chrysler all the way back to 2011.

My engine had a ticking noise for a couple of days when I was at a stop sign or red light. I was going to address it on my upcoming oil change, but on my way home with my family early January, while driving on a major highway, I had the van shake very violently and start loosing power on highway 422, I was nearly involved in an major car accident due to the sudden loss of power. The check engine light came on and it was struggling to gain any speed to be able to get home. The van would not go past 35-40 miles. I was going to take it to anthony D'ambrosio Chrysler in elverson, pa but they were backed up for a couple of days so I found a delaer with immediate openings, quigley Chrysler in boyertown, pa where my van has been sitting for over a month. I was told that my vehicle had cylinder #2 misfire and gave them code P0302 along with P0300. I was told that this would be covered under warranty by my dealer as it is under original powertrain warranty and also Chrysler is aware of vehicles with that 3.6 penstar engine having those issues which eventually cause a head malfunction. I was told that I needed to change my spark plugs and ignition coil which make no sense to me as I was told by my dealer and the service manual that spark plugs are to be changed at 100K miles. I have reached out to Chrysler at least 2 times a week for the last month and always keep getting a promised call back from a supervisor/manager to address the issue but have yet to get anyone to ever call me back in the last 30+ days. I need my van fixed asap as I only have one other vehicle and was not even offered a loaner while they fixed and addressed this issue.
