The headrest finally exploded a few months ago. The car was not moving, no one was even touching the headrest. It had been popping open for a few months, but we were always able to close it back. This time, we can't do anything. It is very uncomfortable when driving....makes me hate my car. I took it to the dealership to see about repair, but they wanted $800. There is no way I can afford that right now because right before this, I had to have the side driver's sliding door actuator replaced which cost $850. I think it's a shame that this car is falling apart for no reason....we've taken very good care of the vehicle. I am extremely disappointed in Chrysler products.

The active head rest just popped open one day. I believe it is a poor design on the plastic part that holds the system together. My drivers side popped open and now the passenger side has done the same thing.

The active headrest just opens up for no reason. After looking at the inside of the headrest it appears the piece that holds the headrest shut just gives way. The driver's side broke about a year ago and we took it to the dealership and they said it was not covered and the new headrest cost Aprox. $500. This past March the passenger seat did the same thing. We have not replaced this one yet. Our van has never been in a wreck. I believe the design of the plastic is not strong enough to counter the stress being placed upon it.

Luckily the headrest did not deploy while I was in the vehicle. I came out the the van and it was like this. Seeing that it costs around $900, we will not pay to fix this. It suddenly broke. We have not been in any accident.
