Town & Country Touring V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Van dying, surging to switch into gear. The dealership is a pain in the backside wanting me to buy another vehicle. Got a 20+ page printout and with recommendation from Chrysler Corporation, so I went to another dealership service department. Was informed at close out the put everything back to factory specifications. That explains a lot!!

So far, so good.

Van is back in the shop, still dying while in idle, still surging to get into 3rd gear and there’s still no codes so there’s nothing wrong with the &$#*% van. It’s a good thing my martial arts skills are rusty. I stood in one place, at the counter, calming down, and once again my friend kept people away while I gained my composure. The service manager suggested I buy a new vehicle to which I replied “Find me a Chrysler Valiant!! I know how to fix one of those without a &$#@% computer geek!” He won’t go back to his corner. Angry female driver won the round without hurting anyone. Still no resolution.

Van shutdown at light, stop signs, drive throughs. Technician says there’s no codes (imagine that) can’t replicate. I inform him to fix the #$&@% problem because I need my van to take my spouse to and from the hospital and clinic. I’m treated like I’ve lost my marbles and the only one that knows to keep his distance when I get this mad is a kid I’ve known for 10 years that’s a courtesy driver. No loaner vehicles have to rent one! Can’t really afford one at this point, but I’m stuck and the service department knows it. I’m 2 weeks with a rental, on a credit card I don’t want to use!!!

Town & Country Touring V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

Surging, hesitancy to switch to 3rd gear unless speed is increased to 60mph. Now it has decided to die while in drive through or at a stop light. Driving to and from hospital to visit spouse is nerve wracking and I’m praying the all are green so I don’t have to wait in case the van electrically terminates...

Town & Country V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,400 miles

After 95,000 miles, the transmission control circuit unit went (P0740) and they say they can repair it for 5,600 or replace the tranny for 6,500. The radiator and catalytic convertor have already gone, not to mention the passenger seat headrest air bag blew while at stop light and caused neck injuries to my wife.

The radio system constantly malfunctions.

All the little gadgets keep falling apart.

Can't find a replacement spare tire because they stopped making them.

Other than that, it is a good car... LOL.

Never buy Chrysler again!!

I was driving and then all of a sudden the transmission kicked back at me and then when I pushed the gas the RPMs went high and the car wouldn't go. The van didn't show any problems before hand and I do upkeep on my van.

I'm a widow who bought this car and made 2 payments on it. What the hell is wrong that a basically new car is not working. I hope this isn't a lemon. I was thinking that this is the last car I would buy now I'm not so sure.

Thank goodness still under warranty no charge.Transmission pump caused the problem. codesP084B, P083B and P0944.Fluid was good, condition, burnt.Pump PSI should be130 but mine was at 25psi Removed and disassembled transmission 2-4 clutch burnt input clutches starting to burn. Compounder clutches are burning . Needs over haul kit pump and converter
