Consumer was driving vehicle when she smelled an intense smell and the check engine light came on. The check engine light had came on days before but went off. The consumer drove straight to the dealer so the could run a diagnostic check. They concluded that the fuel injection system failed causing fuel to go into the engine and causing fumes to enter car through vents. The service paper indicated that the number three fuel injector was replaced. Consumer was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and treated for the fumes that she inhaled. Consumer is concerned that the fumes did not smell and if she continued to drive to work she may have passed out causing accident. This took place in new windsor, New York, jackson ave, in the morning when consumer was on her way to work, on July 11, 2005.
