I am done with Chrysler vehicles..this is the 3rd Chrysler vehicle I have owned that has had a catastrophic failure..owned a 2001 Ram & 2001 Durango had the transmissions go out like a month apart just out of the warranty parameters & got no assistance whatsoever & now this engine failure on my 2008 Avenger..sheesh..& bad thing is these are not isolated events but nationwide everyday occurrences that Chrysler is well aware of & instead of fixing the problem or assisting the customer they would rather try to negate any warranty work they can & any other deficiencies they want to pass onto the consumer..i say we have a nationwide consumer boycott on Chrysler & run them out of business..no one wants to have to deal with expensive repairs especially if they still owe for the vehicle.

Vehicle over heated and melted hole in coolant reservoir bottle. When towed to dealer reported to me that timing chain cover was leaking coolant causing over heating. Dealer started engine and said there was cylinder slap, need to replace engine, block and heads. Week later went to pick up car upon starting it check engine light on!! WTF! Engine light - need to replace intake manifold, some sensor, but no serviceable part have to replace manifold. Car in dealer shop for another week. Total cost $5,971.71 thank god I bought extended warranty. Then Dealer tried to bilk me out of another $1,000 for services "required" to get the car back to like new condition, not covered under warranty. Dealer wanted to "flush and replace" all fluids and do extra services that were not necessary. Made me buy radiator cap that came with new reservoir bottle - duh (returned of course). Service Manager acted like it was my fault the engine blew up. Then acted like he was doing me a favor buy paying for rental vehicle (that's the least you could do). Called Chrysler corp office, said only General Manger could do something about poor service WTF again!! Solution was to get us into new Avenger without all the extras I have in mine. Are you nuts! Unfortunately still paying for lemon, NV has the worst lemon laws.
