problem #2

Avenger SE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

Okay so I purchased this car Nov 06th, 2016 problems from day 1. Now my car is in limp mode! Shows codes P0765 and P0700. Took it the shop on August 24th, 2017 the guy was replacing the shift solenoid. He put the part on and it didn't fix it. So he removed the part and put my old one back on. Car still not fixed! Upset and mad because when I first got the car the car dealer where I purchased it replaced the transmission cable and fixed my window. I am disgusted with this car.

Avenger SE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200,000 miles

My 2008 Dodge Avenger suddenly would not shift out of first gear as I was driving down the road. My husband and I took it to get it checked right away. We were told it was the Shift Sulanoid. We changed it out. The part alone was $150.00 to replace. Within two days it happened again. We thought maybe we got a faulty part. It had a lifetime warranty so we changed it again. The next day it did it again. We took it somewhere else to be checked and was told it was the computer. Then the dealer that I got it from says it is the transmission and will cost me $1,500.00 to have it rebuilt. Even then they can't assure me the problem is fixed.

Can anyone help with some advice? I am about ready to drop it off to the dealership and tell them to keep the stupid thing and go find something else. It seems to be more trouble than it's worth.
