I have no idea what is going on with this car. While driving the car goes into limp nose once you reach a certain speed (normally around35mph). I have not had the money or time to fix it. I have tried several things that could be wrong with it and nothing worked. I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if so what did you find out. I'm not sure if there is a recall or anything on this. I have looked but haven't seen anything. Wife was driving and was only across the street when it happened and was able to make it home. Can some one please tell me if they have had any issues like this?

it is a 2010 Avenger with slightly over 90000 miles. I was driving down the interstate when suddenly my car lost power--the check engine light never came on. Would restart but had to keep pumping the gas pedal to keep it running, it ran very rough, and if placed in drive would die. I had to have it towed, Repair shop could only analyze that the back 3 cylinders had lost compression--will cost a lot to diagnose as they have to pull the engine. Can order another engine.

Engine died while at a stop. This has happened several times in the past. Car starts back up without problems, no indicator lights or engine codes.
