Paint on hood bubbling. Not worth fixing. Too expensive with all the others mechanical issues with this car
- Paula A., Pittsburgh, PA, US
The paint is bubbling on the front lip and underside of the hood. Metro/Bertera Auto Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles are both aware of the issue. The corrosion is a factory detect and has been confirmed by the Bertera Auto Body Manager. The regional manager is refused to honor the repair. This is a known issue with Chrysler/Jeep aluminum hoods. In particular, my orange color (Mango Tango).
This vehicle has 17,000 original miles. I am the original owner. The hood has never been damaged from an accident or environmental elements. FCA needs to take responsibility for this issue. It is a FACTORY DEFECT. The aluminum is rusting from the inside out. This is unconscionable.....
