  • 100,000 miles
The heater is not working properly. It blows warm air on the drivers side, but blows ice cold air on the passengers side. I have had this issue for two years and we have not found a resolution for it yet even after having it looked at and 'fixed' multiple times. I've heard this is a known and common issue.

My wife brought a 2011 Dodge Avenger 2 months ago the ac/ heater system is not working properly, when the heat is turned on, or temperature is turned to hot the driver side delivers warm air, and the passenger side is cold, all three actuator we're replaced and the new thermostats were also replaced.... I have readed about this car having these issues, I also took it to a mechanic and he stated, that Dodge is commonly known for this problem....I honestly feel that this is their responsibility and should fix our car at no charge...

The car blows warm to hot air out of the driver's side and cold air out the passenger's side when you have the controls set to heat. I have had the heater core and coolant system flushed as well as had thermostats, water pump replaced but the issue still persists. When set to defrost only the driver's side defrosts. The passwnger's side gets worse. This issue is current and always happening no matter the state of the vehicle. If it is moving or still it does not blow heat out the pasenger's side. This is a safety issue because the car windshield reduces visibility because it will not defrost and because of the heightened hypothermia risk. Yes

2011 Dodge Avenger. 3.6L engine. While driving between 30 and 40 mph, on deceleration, once the gas pedal is pressed to accelerate, the engine stalls. All electrical still works, but power steering and braking are lost. Car does not restart for at least an hour or more, but will start evnetually. Has happened "intermittently" 10 times since Dec 2017 (this report done July 2018). 8 dealer trips with a torque converter replacement, new fuel pump and still stalling issues while trying to accelerate. Empty back roads, state highways and even busy freeways have all been locations for stalls. All weather conditions, (winter, summer, wet, dry). One code pulled referred to the tipm, which is a major problem for Chrysler, but not documented in the Avenger. Dealer wants a second code to confirm but of the 10 stalls and 8 being towed to the dealer immediately, only once was code saved in car's computer.

Problem with the air conditioning system where the passenger side of the car will blow cold air and the drivers side will blow warm air despite this being a single zone A/C system. This issue started after heavy acceleration getting on the highway when I saw smoke billow from the center A/C vents. I pulled the car over and looked under the hood, but found nothing burning. It was later that day when I noticed the issue of the passenger side cooling and the drivers side not. After much reading, this is a wide spread issue affecting multiple model years.

Heater blows cold on passenger side of car and warm on drivers side of car. Won't defrost the windshield for many miles. Dealer said it's heater core and not covered under warranty. This is a common issue with these cars and should be a recall from Dodge. Sand and metal fragments from the factory engine mold gets into the water system and in time plugs the heater core or radiator in time.this is a recall issue. Or should
