I own a 2012 Dodge Avenger with 67000 miles. On 12/30/2014 while driving at approximately 70 miles per hour the battery light came on and the car lost ABS brakes, power steering and the engines rpms red lined multiple times before I was able to safely get off the highway. My vehicle was serviced by my local Dodge dealer where the alternator was diagnosed as the problem. I have contact both Chrysler customer service and the recall department as my vehicle has the same size engine and alternator as the vehicles included in the current P60 recall. I am very concerned that all vehicles with this size engine and alternator are unsafe and the current recall should be expanded or a new one issued. I do not feel as though my concerns were taken seriously when I have called Chrysler.Â
