This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Dodge dealer.
Reported this problem to the dealer around 479 miles in late May 2012, I purchased the car in early May,I brought the car back 4 times, 3 times to same dealer and 1 to another dealer, they rotated and balanced the tires each time, which held approximately for a day at one supposed fix, and up to 2 weeks the other times , I believe there is a malfunction within the Rack and Pinion and/or Steering mechanism, unfortunately they only rotated and balanced the tires,so now I am filing Florida Lemon Law

Vehicle will vibrate badly once over 55 mph. Dealer said we needed new tires with only 27,000 miles on it. Said tires had flat spots from sitting too long, which is weird since I drive the car every day. Got sick and tired of arguing with them so we bought new tires. Still vibrates at highway speeds. Had a bunch of front end work done under warranty as the inner tie rods were shot and replaced at 24,189 miles. I still think this was not fixed properly under warranty as the problem is still there. Now we have over 50,000 miles and problem hasn't gotten any worse but still there. Now we are out of warranty and Dodge won't fix. I am sick of Dodge and this car in particular. Do not recommend buying a Dodge and especially the Avenger.
