As I was leaving work yesterday, just before pulling into the gas station my engine light came on out of nowhere. Upon getting gas and leaving the store my car would not shift out of 1st gear (automatic) nor would it go over 3000rpm's,, it only revved the engine and would not shift leaving me to only go 30 mph. Also my trunk button would not pop open the trunk, my PRND on the dash would also not light up the engaged gear as it should. My alarm will not engage either... I brought it to Autozone to have a code reader scanned and it gave me the code P0882 (TCM or transmission control module) I learned what this is but cannot find it in any auto parts store assuming I will have to bring it into a dodge dealership for parts and repairs.. I found out that disconnecting the battery may help reset this fault so we did this and the faults had cleared BUT only until I shut the car off and turned it back on the engine light was on yet again, the trunk won't open and the gear symbols would not light up again.... BACK TO SQUARE 1.... I DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO OTHER THAN BRING IT TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND BEND OVER!!!!

Okay, this is another problem I am having with my car. I have had my car in the shop four times. My car kept getting stuck and not kicking in gear and just dying on me. It would start right back up but it still would die. I would have to drive the car about 25 minutes and if I got in a bunch of traffic and it had to stop and go, it would die. I was told by a mechanic it was the transmission, so I got that fixed and then I got it back and it was still dying on me, but the gear thing got better. I took it back to the mechanic and he said he fixed it and again it still wasn't fixed and he couldn't seem to find the problem. He kept telling me it was fixed and every time I got it back it still wasn't fixed, it was still dying on me.
I took it back 4 times to All World Transmission who had already charged me $2500.00 by now. I got it back the last time and he was supposed to call me back and come get the car and I haven't heard back from him yet. I think he thinks I am just gonna go away after spending all that money and them telling me it was the transmission - and now I know it was not the transmission in the first place. Just don't know what to do to get the car fixed because he cant figure out what it is.
