Avenger SXT 3.6L V6

Started car, went to turn heater off and would not turn off. Noticed that my lights were on which were in the auto position and had not been working prior to today. Still could not get heater off so I shut the car down and the car did not shut off. Called Dealer and was told I must have used the auto start which I DID NOT. Went on my way and at my next stop I tried to "duplicate" what the dealer told me I did by starting my car with the starter putting it in the start position to see if It turned if off, if it would continue to run. It did not. Went to get out of my car and because I used the auto start my doors were locked. Tried unlocking the doors with the button on the door, NOTHING they would not unlock, tried using the handle the panic alarm starting going. Tried turning the panic off with the button on the key and it would not turn off. Had to restart the car again to get the panic to stop. Finally that stopped. Headed home and notice those lights were on again in the auto start position. Good maybe they are working now. Nope 3 miles down the road the light on the dash indicating they were on, it went off again. Awful burning smell as I was going down the road. Got home tried the auto start again, now when you use the auto start and put the key in the ignition the car immediately turns off but not every time! Only sometimes. Another one of those things they will tell me they can not duplicate therefore there is nothing wrong. Seriously don't know where to go from here with this car!

Update from Jul 10, 2013: Tried starting this many times with auto key start. We believe the heat staying on is normal as well as the panic going off while inside the car and car running however now my traction control light is also coming on without us changing anything. When trying to turn the traction control off we could not get it to turn off. After restarting the car the light did go off. Another QUIRKY thing!

Update from Jul 31, 2013: Sensor on Dash was only reading at about 40 percent although all codes showed that the lights were working fine. Sensor was replaced and auto lights are now working. Auto start "magically" started working again. Traction control light has not come back on since first incident.
