I went to the dealership they said it would cost $1500. I asked if it was under warranty they told me no my warranty expired in June of 2016. I told them give me some time, so I looked it up online to see what others have said about the car. Turns out there was a recall for this problem so I went back to the dealer and they told me only with certain engine models and mine wasn't one of them. I asked them if they could get under $1000 for the repairs. he tells me that he can put an after market alternator on it but there would be no warranty. So I took it to a friend who replaced both the alternator and battery for me. Who puts a battery in the wheel well? Really?
