So, My radiator issue. Was driving along like usual as I do everyday but suddenly my engine temperature light came on. I was on a highway at night so I risked going a little further to get to lit parking lot to see what was happening. Looking back it was a miracle I made it as far as I did and the engine didn't seize. The radiator hose had completely snapped out of nowhere. Apparently this was common issue because the replacement part I got in the middle of the night was designed very differently so this type of issue wouldn't happen. My father came to my rescue and helped me install it in the not very well lit parking lot and ever since I have had a mysterious leak.

I decided to take the car to Chrysler to see what they said about it. The first time they called, they said there was no leak, when I explained to them that I've had to fill it with water every other time I start the engine they decided to try and look again. The second call they came back with the assumption that the leak is likely a leaky head gasket but I would need to pay $1500 for them to take apart the engine just to find out (so that's not including the cost of repair, if that's even the issue). So since I'm saving up for a non-Chrysler product as a replacement, I will just be filling my radiator hose with water every day and let my $1500 collect interest until it's a feasible downpayment for something that doesn't break randomly down the road.

I hadn't had any issues with this car before this since the time I purchased it in 2012. So it lasted an okay amount of time (6 years?) with only minor/superficial issues (paint peeling, plastic coating on door handles peeling, etc) that are just apart of wearing down a vehicle. Looking for a vehicle to last a good ten years though if I can help it.
