Motor would hiccup and stumble when driving. Throttle body light and check engine light would come on. But no other issues for a few weeks, the lights would go off after a day or two. Then had a major problem. Lucky I was in my driveway when it happened. Car stubbled, lights came on, wouldn't accelerate over 10mph. Rev was limited and was running very rough and missing like a piston went out. ABS and check engine on solid, throttle body light blinking. Tried an older code reader, wouldn't connect. Online lots of complaints about similar items and needing to replace the throttle body.
Ordered it new online for $62 VS over $200 from local auto parts stores (sorry guys).
Once installed it fired right up and ran smoother then when I got the car (used less than a year ago).
Easy replacement, even came with a new gasket like ring. Be careful with the catches on the electrical plug in on it. The keepers on the wire harness plug are pretty light weight plastic and can be brittle. Watch a couple videos online for the tricky parts like the wire minder on the air hose from the airbox to the throttle body and the bracket that holds one side of the throttle body to the block.
Just got a letter for recall on the catalytic converter... Why haven't they had a recall on the throttle bodies? These seem like a worse issue than emissions! Dumb.
