On this date, my wife and I noticed the L headlight of our 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T was inoperable. Once back to our house after a weekend away, I purchased a light bulb pack for replacement of the supposed burnt out bulb. Upon replacing this item, it still did not operate. I then installed the 2nd one that came in the pack with the same results. After reinstalling the original bulb, I searched the internet for possible wiring diagrams to help with troubleshooting, but instead, encountered numerous like problems with other owners whom with the L headlight suddenly expiring with the bulb not being the issue. I understand that there have been some solutions with having the dealer reboot the computer, in which it also resets the light module, however, Dodge does not declare this to be a safety issue. I beg to differ, loosing a headlight, especially the L/drivers side is a very big safety issue. Living in ne Ohio during the winter time and snow storms, this is a "safety issue" for me and other drivers. Would you please investigate this issue for a possible safety issue. The blogs on many car sights and even on abc15 are overwhelming. Sincerely [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Low beam headlight on passenger side will not turn on took into a shop and they said that it is the tipm telling the light not to turn on so in other words its a bad tipm. I was made aware that the part would be close to $1200. I've researched this issue online and I see that it is a very common issue. The other day the driver side decided to turn off as well. What happens when I'm driving in the dark and the one headlight that I do have decides to turn off and I get into an accident. A recall needs to be set into motion on this part. Apparently the tipm causes many issues other than just what I'm experiencing.
