The brakes were literally as loud as a city bus when stopping. Actual braking and stopping distance didn't seem to be affected, but it was quite embarrassing and completely unacceptable for a car with only 24,000 KM on it. Of course Dodge told me that brakes are "wear items" and only covered for 20,000 KM. I would have to pay for the car to be looked at and fixed. Upon inspection, I was informed by the dealership that the brakes still had 60% left on the front and 80% on the back. When I pointed out that this meant we were no longer dealing with a "wear item", and that it must be a poor part or design, I was told that these brakes require "regular maintenance". Regular maintenance on brakes after 24,000 KM?!?! As usual, North American car manufacturers refuse to stand behind their vehicles. This is it; I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT.

Sounds horrible. The car has been eating through brake pads since I got it. I work for an auto parts store and it seems like all my pay checks are spent on brakes and other repairs on this vehicle. It sounds horrible through stops.
