I my 2008 Dodge Caliber in 2010 with 10300 miles. Since then I have replace the brakes, rotors and tires 3 times. The calipers and struts and and had 4 alignments.. Now I am told my frame is rotting out and it is not covered by recall? I will not buy another Dodge, if the company refuses to stand next to their work!

I WAS SURPRISED THAT I NEEDED BALL JOINTS WITH LESS THAN 100,00 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. AND IT WAS BOTH REARS THAT WERE BAD. ONE SIDE WAS NOTICEABLE, THE OTHER SIDE WAS BEGINNING TO SHOW, SO WAS REPLACED.

THOUGHT IT WAS MY BALL JOINTS GOING BAD AGAIN, TURNS OUT THE CONTROL ARM HAD NO BUSHING. IF ITS ANYTHING I HAVE LEARNED ABOUT THIS CAR, IF ONE SIDE IS BAD, REPLACE BOTH RIGHT AWAY. WITH NOT BEING IN AN ACCIDENT AND HAVE FRONT END WORK DONE A FEW MONTHS BEFORE WITH NO NOTICE OF A PROBLEM, IT WAS A RELATIVELY QUICK PROBLEM THAT COULD OF HAD REAL BAD CONSEQUENCES.

It has not even been a year and I need to fix the same problem again.

We have been very happy with the car. Went and got new tires, went into get the wheel s aligned, but noticed a noise on the way. Was told they couldn't do it due to bad lower ball joints. We just had 4 grand kids in the car the day before! Now we are told it is out of warranty, we have to bite it. The 2008 is just starting to show signs of trouble with this car but 2007 has had a lot of this type of trouble, and if web research is accurate, seems this is a problem Dodge was aware of it before production. We have always been dodge Chrysler people, but due to problems with dodge trucks, we have a ford. Looks like we should have gone that route with our car.

The mechanic told me that this should NEVER happen to a car that is only 3-4 years old with less than 50,000 miles. But this particular make and model seem to have issues with these parts. Come on Dodge, can't you make better parts that are gonna last a little longer?? I will NEVER buy another Dodge if their parts are junk!!

the dealer stocks the parts what does that tell you. the parts can only be dodge parts, cheap as sh*t stupid cheap car/

So aprox. 6,000 miles later I had to have the front right tie rod replaced again and also ball joints and brake pads.
