There is currently a recall on the vehicle potential loss of air bag and seat belt pretensioners deployment during a crash due to a shorting condition. It has been since September 2016 since we received this recall notice and there is still no resolution. There are other issues as well regarding our electrical system in our vehicle. The wiring system for our lights has gone bad and have been recommended to replace the wiring. This vehicle has issues that need resolving and I believe over 6 months of waiting on a fix to the air bag/seat belt recall has been way too long. When checking their website it says no remedy available still. I do not feel safe driving in this car.

Notified in September 2016 of a recall on this car but no remedy at that time was available. As of today, May 6, 2017, there is still no remedy. The parts affected with this recall could contribute to increased risk for injury in a crash. The response time for a remedy is unacceptable in my opinion. Please investigate!!

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Caliber. The contact stated that a recall notice was received for NHTSA campaign number: 16V668000 (air bags). The recall describes problems with the occupant restraint controller, air bag deployment, and safety belt restraint. The dealer suggested I call the manufacturer, who told me they had deemed the vehicle safe to drive and to take it to the dealer for an inspection before they would consider giving me a different car to drive while the manfucaturer finds a solution. While checking in my car at the dealership, I was told that recall has 'only' resulted in injury and not death. Anybody want to volunteer themselves or their children" I didn't think so. The dealership employee checking in my car didn't think it was a problem to drive for uber.... really" this is a safety issue and I don't think it's unreasonable to have alternate transportation paid for by the manufacturer until this is resolved. Please contact me so that my family can remain safe while this resolved. I will be sending similar messages to the ag and congressional leaders.

I received a safety recall regarding my 2012 Dodge Caliber, regarding a loss of air bag and seat belt pretensioner deployment capability during a crash due to shorting condition resulting in negative voltage transient that travels to the occupant restraint controller via the front impact sensor wires. I received this notice at least 6 months ago and no action has happened yet regarding this recall. Please have this reviewed as I travel my family around in this car and need to make sure it is up to standards. Thank you

"takata recall" I have a 2012 Dodge Caliber and the horn has suddenly stopped working and I am unsure why. The horn is located in the airbag assembly and because of this I have not been able to get it replaced. I don't understand why a horn on a 4 year old car would suddenly stop working, and if it's not the horn it would be the airbag. The car has not been in a collision, nor has the airbag been deployed so I still don't understand why this is occurring. I have googled the issue and numerous people with the same vehicle different years are experiencing the same issue, but Chrysler is refusing to deem it a recall issue. One night I was awaken to my horn/alarm going off, but the vehicle was inside a closed garage. The horn won't blow if pressed, but will later blow on it's on if you attempt to press it. There is an issue in the steering column because as I was driving down an interstate it began to blow, and in order to stop it from blowing I had to move the horn pad up and down. This cannot be normal.

I was involved in a car accident on Thursday where I hit a guard rail pretty hard and dead on. At the time I was going 35 mph in the pouring rain. My airbags never deployed. This is very bothersome as I have had issues with this car before not starting all the time when I first purchased the car. I had bumper damage, the right head light was damaged and my neck was sliced by the seatbelt!
