this caravan belongs to a friend. I told him that I would look and see if there was a recall for this problem. the problem being that the steering seems to lock up at low speeds, usually 5 to 30 mph.It seems to happen more in cooler temperatures and when roads are wet.when it happens it is like trying to turn the steering when the motor is not running. the steering also makes a bad whining noise. this 2003 dodge caravan only has around 80,000 miles on it.this problem is very dangerous and is going to cause an accident, possibly resulting in a death if these vehicles are not fixed or taken off the road. I have read about a lot of recalls for these vehicles and I do think that dodge should refund everyone there money and scrap these vehicles.
