Car would accelerate and decelerate during drive time and run real choppy. After a few visits to the dealership and them saying nothing was wrong with the car and my persistence in asking to drive with the mechanic we found out the problem with the car stalling, accelerating and decelerating was the Throttle Position sensor had to be replaced. Keep in mind I replaced the solenoid twice, paid for Transmission service, and replaced the natural vacuum lead detector which did not solve tech problem until the throttle position sensor was replaced.

My 04 Caravan has had many problems since I purchased it. Transmission problems started in summer of 07, at 46-48K miles. Car would accelerate and decelerate during drive time and run real choppy. Took it in Dealer said I needed Transmission service which cost $350. Problem not solved. Took it back in Sep 07. Dealer said it was an exhaust problem Extended warranty covered 100 co pay. Took back Nov 07 because problem not fixed. Dealer said it was the caddy converter. Extended warranty covered 100 co pay. when asked for waiver because of previous complaint dealer said not able to because it wasn't on the computer. Car runs better but it decelerates at HWY speed. Took it to dealer they could not find anything wrong even after test drive. Stated Car is supposed to decelerate on its own at HWY speed because of wind. Now car engine shuts off when coming to stop. Another web site said it was due to cold weather. Why it this happening now it didn't happen before? Any suggestions. Plus I have had other problems with this car. Both rear lights fell off because it came unglued at 35K for driver side and 45K for passenger side. Replaced by dealer. At 5K head gasket replaced. Dealer stated it was because of bad Head Gasket. Replaced by dealer. Break system replacement at 9K due to bad manufacture install. Replaced by dealer.
