problem #1

Dec 282006

Caravan 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 68,000 miles
- the contact has a 2004 Dodge Caravan with an odometer reading of 68000 miles when the spare tire would not release. The contact experienced a flat, and when he used the wrench to crank down the spear for the first time, the tire would not release. The contact stated that he even used a crowbar to help loosen the tire that did not work, so he had to drive on the flat tire to get help. The contact took the car to the dealer, who told him that he needed a new spare tire hoist assembly. The contact also called the manufacturer, and was told the car was out warranty and they would not cover the cost of the repair. Updated 02/06/07.
