This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Dodge dealer.
2005 Caravan was a rental, bought with low miles. The problem started when the automatic transmission would not shift gears or it would not shift past 2 gear. The diagnostic at the shop said that it was the solenoid, which it was not because a day later the problem reoccurred. Then the mechanic said it was the computer. It took 2 weeks to get a computer into the shop. Then 4 days after it was repaired the same problem came back. The mechanic now says that the new computer was faulty from the parts store, so he is ordering another computer. Who knows if this will fix the problem. If not we are taking it to another mechanic. Dodge why did you build so many cheap cars prior to the great recession. Why not build a quality car with quality parts. If I could afford a better car i would buy it but dodge's are cheap. You get what you pay for. Jokes on me.

This van was purchased from a cab company in Texas. They ended up having problems with everyone of the vans they sold to drivers. Dodge did repair this problem quickly, but I lost a days work because of the problem. Since then the dashboard lights go out within 6 months of replacing bulbs. This will never be right in these vehicles!

The Caravan was in the repair shop for 3 weeks. Tech tried to replace modules, fuses etc. He finally said I needed a new computer system. However, couldnt get it in til another week. This was after the van had been in shop 2 week. I will not buy another Dodge.
