On 1/6/07 I purchased a new 2007 Dodge Caravan with approximately 67 miles. It immediately began to make a squealing noise. I took the vehicle in on 5/4/07 for repair. The service department replaced the air-conditioning belt. When I picked up the vehicle the noise was still coming from the vehicle. On 7/28/07 I took the vehicle back to the dealership to repair the squealing noise coming from the vehicle. The service department then replaced the belt and tensioner. I picked up the vehicle and the squealing noise was still coming from the vehicle. On 8/6 the vehicle began to spew oil and was towed to the dealership for repairs. I also informed that the belts were still squealing. The service department replaced the front crank seal, gear, dampener pulley, and timing belt. I picked up my vehicle on 8/9/07. The vehicle is still making squealing noise and now it is stalling out sporadically. On or around 8/23/07 I placed the vehicle back in the shop for the squealing noise and the stalling out. On 8/31/07 the service department informed me that they could not diagnose the problem. I informed them that the vehicle was unsafe for me and my children and they decided to keep the vehicle an extra day to see if they could determine what the problem was. On 9/1/07 they told me to pick up the vehicle. They could not find a problem. I picked up my vehicle on 9/2/07 the vehicle was still making a squealing noise and was worse than when I brought it in. I took the vehicle in with a full tank of gas and got it back with a fourth of a tank of gas. On 9/4/07 I contacted the General Manager of the dealership Eddie Wayden. I explained to him my position and that I felt unsafe in the vehicle. His response to the problem was to place a co-pilot in the vehicle to see if it would record the nature of the problem... I explained to the general manager that the vehicle sounded like a 747 engine taking off and that the belts squealed continuously. On or about 9/8/07 the co-pilot was installed the service department did not address the belts squealing. I spoke with Kathy in regards to when the belts would be addressed she told me that they would do it all at the same time. On 9/27/07 I took the vehicle back to the service department they told me that they would take approximately fifteen minutes to diagnose the vehicle I was at the service center for two and a half hours they could not diagnose the problem and still did not address the belts on the vehicle. They looked at me as if I were crazy I told them again that the engine sounded like a 747 taking off and it sounded that way since the day I bought the vehicle I also told the service manager that I felt like the engine would blow up just any day. They seemed to think that I had no clue about what I was talking about and was going to send me home without addressing anything. When I let them know that they had to do something they reinstalled the co-pilot and sent me on my way. On 10/1/07 as I pulled in to the parking lot at work I noticed my oil light was flashing, oil was splattered on the back of my car and when I looked underneath the vehicle oil was dripping from the vehicle all over the ground. The vehicle was towed to the service department and they have informed me that the engine blew up they plan to install a short block. They feel that this will correct all of the problems. The general Manager asked the service manager Mark If he thought I would be happy about this and the truth is I am not. I bought a brand new vehicle and have had to suffer without on many occasions I had to just deal with the noise from a new vehicle that I am disgusted with the vehicle and do not want it back. I feel that the vehicle is a lemon and was the day I drove it off the lot.
