This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Dodge dealer.
I am the original owner. From the first we have seen starting problems with this vehicle. Dodge dealer stated the heat can sometimes affect the starting.
On 4/13/16 vehicle would not start and had it towed to a local car repair. The problem was diagnosed as a faulty TIPM Totally Integrated Power Module which is an issue Chrysler has been dealing with for years. Was told by the repair shop that a new TIPM is about $800 and are back ordered.
Vehicle is going to be towed to a Dodge dealership to see what they can do.

Made a left hand turn into my subdivision. Lost power steering and brakes. Could not control car at all. Almost hit a brick sign at the entrance of the subdivision. Had to shut car off and restart. No issues once I restarted the car. This happened a few years back once before but the car shut off then.

Had the car for almost a month, off and on, car would not start.

This started with a no start issue where the starter would crank, but no ignition or fuel pump (guessing). It progressed - while the local dealer was attempting to figure out exactly what was causing it, to the engine just randomly cutting off while driving. It would then go to the no start issue where finally the engine would fire and I could continue on. Having a manual transmission, I at least have a modicum of power steering when this happens, but those who have automatic transmissions are at a safety risk for being immediately unable to steer.
(The manual transmission keeps the engine coupled to the drivetrain until the clutch is pushed in, keeping the engine turning as well as the power steering pump and giving some steering ability.)
To me, this is a huge safety concern. I can turn the wheels with no power steering. I imagine many cannot. If this happens in a curve, all bets are off as to how it will end. Chrysler, FCA Stellantis or whatever it is called now, needs to do something about it.
