Challenger SRT8 6.1L

  • Manual transmission
  • 60,000 miles

In early 2017 I noticed paint cracking in several places. I took the car to the dealership and they told me it was the clear coat because of the sun. I went back several months later as it looked like the cracks were through the paint and into the primer. Again they said it was normal and there was nothing they could do.

In early 2018 it started getting real bad and I did some research on the internet and found others who had failed paint as well. I went back to the dealer and they said they would check with Dodge. After no reply, I started checking around and got a couple quotes of about $3600 to correct the paint failure.

I went back to the dealer and they said the car was 8 years old so there was nothing they could do. I put the car in the garage for about a year while trying to figure out how best to deal with this. It is now December 2019 and I am ready to fight Dodge and the dealership as I should not have to pay for their failed paint.

Challenger 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

My 2010 Dodge Challenger paint job is very poor. Always keep in the garage and only 70000 on it and the pant job is starting to peel already. Just going to see what Dodge is going to do about this.
