I noticed this knocking type noise from the engine, and took it to the dealer within a couple of days. Given decent treatment, rental care etc. The car was in the dealership for about a week, and didn't receive any phone calls regarding what was going on with my car. Finally got a hold of the service person I had been dealing with, Roger is his name. He informed me that they found sludge in the motor of my car. I was like what the hell does that mean? He proceeds to tell me that there is sludge in my motor due to poor maintenance. I think to myself, "oh hell nooooo".

There is one thing that is for sure, I did have my car serviced regularly, oil changes, etc, and had recently had it tuned up, oil change, brake service right before I had this problem with the car (at Pep boys) because I didn't want to leave my car at the dealership for a long period of time. I'm a home health nurse and I really need my car. So I told Roger I have been faithful with oil changes, etc. and he says they need receipts, records, etc. I'm thinking to myself that they are basically calling me a liar....I'm going crazy looking for the receipts, etc. I'm able to find receipts for the last 7 changes, and that is still not good enough I guess. My car has been sitting there for week three effective today. It's just sitting. Supposedly they are waiting for someone from Chrysler to say that my car is going to be fixed under warranty, which my car does have (bumper to bumper lifetime warranty).

I feel like I'm getting shafted here. I have no way of proving that I did what I said I did other than my word, and the last paperwork that I found. I don't know what else to do. I can't afford to buy a new motor, if that is what is necessary. I don't know. Can someone please help me here!!!
