I bought my 2011 Dodge Challenger Brand New from a local dealer. It was June of course the best time, windows down & moon roof open. Glanced up to see head liner coming down around rubber piece - I can see the cheap cardboard piece. 1st Brought it to the dealer they told us it was clips, fixed it, held for a month.

2nd time brought it in they said it was a recall and it would be fixed- not sure what they did this time husband took it in.

3rd time Dodge bulletin says GLUE. Dealer fixed it again.

4th time May 2014 brought it in again and they fixed a plastic piece.

Two weeks later look up and it is coming down again. Now I know that this is not a safety issue - YET! But it is a pain in the ass eye sore to look at. DO I have to look at it every summer? Calling the dealer again today. Now I know this is not the dealer]s fault. I never give them a hard time when I go in. But DODGE needs to figure out why this keeps happening. I have brought the car in enough times that this should flag someone as a concern. I read the Forums and I see some people mention the head liners have been cut crooked. If that is true I don't know, what I do know is I am tired of being without my car and looking at the cheap cardboard headliner when I am trying to enjoy my beautiful car on a nice day.

Challenger R/T Clasic 5.7L

Have been trying to get the repair done now for over two months. The dealer where the repair was to be done told me I had to bring teh car in to have pictures taken before Dodge would authorize the repair. Then they told me it would be about a week to get the authorization. I had to call to see if they had received it, they had and now it would take another week to get the part. After that week went by, I had to call them again and was told that the part was on indefinite backorder. I then had to call the customer hotline, was assigned a case number and was told that the manufacturer of the liner was behind. I then ased them to take one off the line for me, apparently that was too much trouble. After another month went by, the part finally arrived, but I was now being told by the dealer that they would have to pull the windshield to do the repair, and that because I had not bought the vehicle at their dealership, they would not give me a loaner car for the 8+ hours the repair would take (even though I had several repair jobs done there in the past), and that Dodge would not pay for one either. I then contacted the original dealer where I had bought the car. They are willing to do the repair and getme a loaner, but Dodge will not let them because the first dealer is authorized. I don't even really want that dealer doing the repair now because they've ben so unhelpful. Customer service at Dodge just gives me the runaround and I can't seem to get anyone to care about keeping a cusomer happy. I've had 6 Chrysler products now, and this is the first time I've been through anything like this. I'm seriously considering getting rid of the car and NEVER buying Chrysler again!

headliner falling down headliner falling down

Bought the car brand new 9/2011. 200 miles and the headliner fell. Took it in to Dodge. Waited for part 3 months. They replaced it 1/2012. Drove off. After a week I noticed it fell again. I drug my feet contacting them because it is such a pain to deal with dealerships. Finally took it back in. After waiting, they replaced it yet again on 10/2012. They said it would be good this time. On the drive home, it dropped again. Now I had to wait because they never got approval to replace it the second time. Finally they tell me I can get it fixed again. This time they put in fasteners that are "supposed to fix it for good". This was 12/2012. I did not ride with windows open since. Get in the car today, 3/8/2013, and look up. what do I see. The headliner has fallen down yet again. I am waiting on Dodge to call me back now to see what can be done. I am sick of this. This is not correct. I think I deserve extended coverage on my vehicle for free, just so when this happens again I am covered.
