I bought my car during Halloween 2011. Halloween 2017 my car begins having issues:won't start and totally dead. AAA club gets it running after an hour trying this and trying that to get the car working. Car works normal. About two weeks later, car won't start. However lights and radio work. AAA club jumps the car first try. Car works normal. About two weeks later, car starts acting weird. Random dashboard warning lights come on (traction, battery, engine), radio suddenly shuts off, brakes become hard, and engine almost stalls. The next morning everything seems fine. I go about my day running errands. Then while pulling into a parking spot -suddenly the dash flickers, radio shuts off, and car stops running. Now it won't start. AAA club comes out, jump starts it first try. He leaves. As soon as I put it in reverse, car dies. I didn't even move two inches. Car won't start at all now. It gets towed to my home since Dodge doesn't have after hours drop off. On Monday I call Mopar Care, they tow the car to the dealership. Oh yes, alternator recall. Oh no, WTF, no new alternator part to install, yet. Part is not available yet! So are they going to install another alternator with the same known issues? And I have to pay for it? And a new $270 battery that went down in flames because of the alternator issue?

Currently my car is still at the dealership.

Funny how the warranty ends and almost the next day the car suddenly has problems.

I am about 90% sure that my problem with my car is with the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) module. I go to start on my car and its a hit and miss. There are times that the car starts no problem and other times I have been left stranded in the middle of town because I go to start my car with the push start and it wont turn over. Everything turns on in my car but the car wont turn over. After a few times of trying the car will finally start.

I have tried changing the batteries on the key fob, changing the starter solenoid relays but nothing fixes the problem. I know its not the starter because my car starts no problem whenever it wants to, like it has a mind of its own. I am wondering if there is some kind of recall on this, or if others are experiencing similar problems?

We bought this car in Nov. 2011. It is a 2012 Challenger. We drove this car from then until August 2013, we were going on vacation and my husband went out to crank car and wouldnt start. We took it to Dodge ( Landers McLarty in Bessemer,Al.) they replaced the battery with us knowing that wasnt the problem, brand new car and new battery. After we got back from Florida it sit for a few days and he went to crank it and it was dead. Took it back to the dealer, they replaced the radio, still the same problem. They replaced the radio one more time and still a problem. So the next time they replaced the amplifier the next go around. 4 times we have been up there and still have a problem. When you turn the car off and listen you can here a fan motor running inside the dash no matter how long the car is off. What ever is causing this fan to run is pulling the battery down. Landers told us to get a triple charger and put on it or unplug the fuse when we didnt drive it. That is a bunch of bull!! If you buy a new car you shouldnt have to disconnect the fuse or charge it up to drive it.You should be able to go get in it and crank it up. I have a Honda Accord and it can sit for 2 weeks and crank up. This is so disgusting dealing with this car, my husband had always wanted a Dodge Challenger and now he is just sick over it. We are still paying for this thing and it want crank. I just want some one to fix this car or Dodge to give us another car. I am tired of paying for something that you cant even drive. My husband drives a truck everyday, so this car was not bought to drive everyday. Sick of it. You would think that a mechanic working for Dodge should no more than what they do.Or someone is just giving us the run around.
