Not sure you have looked into engine damage on all Dodge Hemi engines (5.7 and 6.4 liter sizes). It seems that there are stories all over the internet that talks about this but I cannot find if there is a class action lawsuit for this issue. My car is a 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT 6.4 liter hemi (392 cubic inch engine) with 84,000 miles on it. I just took it in today for a tapping sound coming from my engine. The service technician just let me know it is the engine lifters and camshafts. While I am out of time on my power train warranty (5 years), the car is under the maximum mileage of 100,000. I am an engineer and I am meticulous about changing the oil when prompted and using factory filter and recommended oil viscosity. This failure should not have happened. There should be a class action lawsuit on this issue. The Dodge service departments are using this as a cash cow.

Too many issues with this car. This one took the cake though. Started as a tick at idle, turning into a loud clanking at any speed. Turned out to have a flat lobe on the cam. Luckily this is what I do for a living so I saved a ton on labor. But still, having to replace a cam and lifters on a car with only 85,000 miles is ridiculous.
