Challenger SXT 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 61,000 miles

I bought my 18 year old a 2012 Challenger 61,000 miles and it is having many of the same complaints mentioned on this forum. He complained of the hard shifting, as well as a “rough shake feeling” in the front end when this occurs.

A few months back, I remember him complaining of it revving past the normal shift rpm before shifting with nothing done by him. I haven’t taken it to any shop nor dealership as of yet.

It isn’t under warranty and to me dealerships are nothing but dealerships/mechanics-hourly-rip-offs to customers/vehicles that are non-warranty repairs. Then they may or May Not even fix your vehicle! Some will even add repair costs!

I even told my son, first thing when he told me, was to check his transmission fluid... he came back and said dad, there isn’t a dipstick! So they have it to where you HAVE to bring it in!

This being the damn case and Dodge is aware of these persistent problems with multiple Challengers and like vehicles... DODGE, GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO THE RIGHT THING AND CREATE A RECALL!!!!!

EXTREMELY irritated, Chief
