Challenger SRT 392 6.4L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,000 miles

Bought a used 2015 Challenger SRT 392 on September 12th 2018 with 12700 miles on it. I had the ABS/ESC lights illuminate on the dash while driving on October 13th 2018. Took vehicle in for repair and they determined it was a faulty right rear wheel speed sensor that caused my ABS module to malfunction. The ABS module and wheel speed sensor were replaced. The day after repair I took car on a road trip and 1000 miles later the ABS/ESC lights came on and off at random for a week until I returned from the trip to make the repair. When I returned I took it back in for repair and they determined it was a front right wheel speed sensor that was faulty. They made the repair and roughly a week after this the lights were back on for a third time. I took the car back in for a repair again and they determined it was a back LEFT wheel speed sensor. They made the repair and told me that the 2015 had notoriously bad wheel speed sensors and they replaced now 3 of the 4 wheel speed sensors over a 3 week period with updated parts. I asked them about replacing the fourth sensor and they told me my warranty company wouldn't cover it unless it was throwing error codes and I was better off waiting for that to happen and get the fix for free. I'm lucky I purchased a 3rd party warranty when buying the car Car currently has 15000 miles.
