I am leasing a 2017 Dodge Challenger (beautiful), when one day I got into my car and I got ready to go when I was putting on my seat belt, I noticed a very tiny "fray" in the headliner about mid-way on the window area, but not touching the window, nor anything else for that matter. I have absolutely no idea how this fraying and microscopic tear occurred in this headliner, and DODGE DOES NOT WANT TO COVER IT. After over 2 months of waiting on a decision from Dodge, I just received a verbal Denial on June 11, 2018 stating that since they cannot explain the reason for this remotely weird material defect, that they refuse to pay the $1259.00 to repair this obvious material defect.
Keep in mind, I have never received any written documentation from them either. This vehicle is still under Warranty too. That's the other big problem I have with Dodge. Why would I want to be responsible for something I have absolutely no control over, simply because I am leasing a vehicle?
Yes, Dodge/Chrysler is denying this claim in it's entirety. Simply because they do not know how it happened. WOW. This is a company that clearly does not stand behind its cheap, defective headliner materials they used in their $40,000.00 vehicle, but yet will JUMP to charge me for something I have no idea how it happened.
People, do not consider leasing or buying any Dodge products. Do not lease with this company. They don't stand behind a $40,00000 vehicle.
