This is the second radio in the vehicle. The first one would shut itself off and it couldn't be turned back on for a few minutes. Dealership replaced it at no cost. Radio had problems from the moment I got the car back. The screen would shrink to about 2/3 it's actual size and then reset itself. I also could not pair a telephone to it.

Took it back to the dealership and was told it needed a software update. I wondered why they didn't check for that update while they had the vehicle. None the less, they performed the update and it didn't change much. Screen still shrinks when it feels like it. It takes several tries to pair a telephone to it and when you finally succeed, not all the functions work properly.

I have set up an appointment at a different dealership and will post again after I get the car back. This is one of several problems this car has and it makes me wonder if I'll ever buy another vehicle from Dodge again.

Update from Jun 4, 2019: I escalated the complaints all the way up to Fiat/Chrysler. I was assigned a case manager who was very helpful and was dealing with the dealership herself. The problem never got solved as they are not willing to replace the radio again. The radio has developed other problems since and I'm being told to check in with the dealership periodically for a software update. I was given a bunch of free oil changes for my troubles which I would gladly trade in for a properly functioning radio.
