Purchased vehicle as is on 03/16/2021 at date of purchase vehicle had almost 200,000 miles on it it needed front end lower control arms and bushings replacement on both driver and passenger sides the air conditioning didn't work due to the ac compressor being no good so the compressor had to be replaced as well the driver side window wouldn't go down regulator. Had to be brought and replaced as well also at the time of purchase in which vehicle was sold as is with a malfunctioning seatbelt issue in which the driver's side seatbelt was fastened and will not unfasten the passenger side seatbelt works however the cars sensor beeps and flashes indicating that someone is in the passenger seat without their seatbelt on even with the seatbelt being fastened without an actual body or weight being in the seat at all.... since compressor has been replaced car has started running hot coolant and water has to currently be added just for regular daily use

The vehicle stalled several times and the instrument panel warning indicators and gauges flickered. When there was a loss of power, the doors would automatically lock and were unable to open. In addition, the brakes failed to function properly when applied. An unknown dealer replaced the brakes and the pinion pins twice due to the wheels on the driver's side being affected due to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and the contact was waiting to determine if there was an option to trade in or buy back the vehicle. The failure mileage was not available.

In attempt to gain control of the vehicle I crashed into a ditch. End resulted in me with my insurance company totaling out my vehicle. Our 2006 Dodge Charger was showing symptoms of the wheels being out of alignment, and we had it checked out by a mechanic. We knew what he was going to say before he came back with his assessment; its the tie rods once again. We have had problems with the tie rods on this car from the 3rd month of owning it. We have had it fixed by the dealer 3 times along with new brakes and tires at the cost of $2,000 each time. We drive 20 miles a day to and from work, there is no reason for the tie rods to be replaced. I have complained to the dealership and they told me that it is an issue that we will continue to have and there is nothing we can do about it. He had 4 Chargers in that day with the same issue. I contacted Chrysler 2 days ago because we need to have the tie rods fixed for the 4th time. They told me they would forward my complaint to the product development team. Chrysler needs to own up to the defective products they are selling! I'm afraid for our family of 4 to ride in this car. Do people have to die before an investigation is warranted? I want to get rid of this car but I hate to pawn it off on another family, its dangerous! please do an investigation, and ask dealerships and mechanics how many defective tie rods they place on these cars a day.

Three days later, the front wheels began to shimmy badly and the trunk leaks when it rains. He was advised to visit a Dodge dealer; however, Dodge could not balance the wheels as well. Currenlty, the Dodge dealer is attempting to repair the trunk issue and possibly the wheels again. Upon braking, I experience vibrations in the steering. Took to a dealer who examined my wheels and determination is warped front rotors. I have 16, 000 miles on my car and warped rotors? service manager advised to replace rotors at consumer expense. I feel as many other Dodge Charger owners with the same problem, it is a manufacturer defect.
