Because my car was made 5/2007 the recall falls 6/2007 thru 9/2007 REALLY a few weeks/days and the recall does not apply. WTF $350 out of pocket. I have a 1999 Olds Auroa with OVER 200,000 miles on it and IT still RUNS, no shift problems there!!!!!
Update from Sep 30, 2015: UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After calling customer service several times and NOT getting nasty, I received a
FULL refund from my repairs at the dealership.... Happy Now :)

Sure it been reported before, but 2007 Dodge Charger got stuck in park. Recall was issued, but they said only cars made after August 2007 were included. Mine was made in August of 2006, one of the first ones made. The problem is a pink part in the shifter mechanism from which a plastic hook holds a spring allowing the shifter to move from park. The hook breaks off and releases the spring and you are stuck in park. there are many videos showing how to repair it on YouTube. I myself went with an aluminum billet replacement so it won't happen again and since Dodge didn't want to admit the same problem with their earlier models, I fixed it myself.
